Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Field Project Manager to lead onsite execution of engineering and infrastructure projects across the UK & Ireland. This full-time role runs for approximately 9 months, starting January 2027, with a day rate of £400 plus travel expenses inside IR35 PAYE.

The role requires an engineering degree, hands-on experience with material handling equipment, proven project management capabilities on large-scale projects, and Six Sigma/Lean certification or equivalent

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Proven experience with Material Handling Equipment (conveyor systems, sortation systems, high-speed packaging lines, manufacturing lines).
• Demonstrated project management capability on large-scale, complex technology projects.
• Six Sigma / Lean methodology certification or practical experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Willingness to travel to sites across UK and Ireland.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the onsite execution of engineering and infrastructure projects across multiple locations.
• Manage project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource planning.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and third-party vendors.
• Conduct site assessments and readiness reviews prior to project deployment.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health, safety, and quality standards.
• Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, testing, and operational handover activities.
• Facilitate effective communication between project teams and operational stakeholders.
• Manage project documentation, reporting, and governance requirements.
• Track budgets, project costs, and change control processes.
• Support project closeout activities, including lessons learned and final project documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance project delivery processes.
