Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Field Project Manager to lead critical deployment projects from planning through handover across UK & Ireland. You will coordinate with engineering, operations, contractors, and project teams to ensure top-quality execution of complex automation and material handling initiatives.

Frequent travel and extended onsite periods are expected, with a focus on delivering large-scale warehouse/logistics infrastructure projects and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification.
• Proven experience with Material Handling Equipment (conveyor systems, sortation systems, high-speed packaging lines, manufacturing lines)
• Demonstrated project management capability on large-scale, complex technology projects
• Six Sigma / Lean methodology certification or practical experience
• Fluency in English
• Willingness to travel to sites across UK and Ireland
• Proficient in Microsoft office tools

Responsibilities

• Lead the onsite execution of engineering and infrastructure projects across multiple locations.
• Manage project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and resource planning.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and third-party vendors.
• Conduct site assessments and readiness reviews prior to project deployment.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health, safety, and quality standards.
• Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, testing, and operational handover activities.
• Facilitate effective communication between project teams and operational stakeholders.
• Manage project documentation, reporting, and governance requirements.
• Track budgets, project costs, and change control processes.
• Support project closeout activities, including lessons learned and final project documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance project delivery processes.
