Job summary

X4 Technology is seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer (1st/2nd Line) for an on-site role in Central London (EC2). The contract is initially 3 months, with an immediate start and 5 days per week in-office support for a fast-paced financial services environment.

Responsibilities include providing 1st/2nd line desktop support, diagnosing hardware/software issues, AD/O365 administration, and ITSM ticketing.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a 1st/2nd Line Desktop Support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11.
• Experience supporting Active Directory environments.
• Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with ITSM/ticketing systems.
• Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused approach with ability to support senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1st and 2nd line desktop support to end users across the business.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Support and troubleshoot Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
• Administer and support Active Directory user accounts, groups, and permissions.
• Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 (O365) applications and services.
• Manage and resolve incidents and service requests through a ticketing system.
• Perform device setup, deployment, and user onboarding activities.
• Escalate complex issues where required and maintain accurate documentation.
