Job summary

Searchability in Cheltenham is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to lead security work packages for client and internal programmes. The role focuses on security management plans, risk assessments, and development of security controls and reports.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in networking, systems and application security, plus certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CEH and UK Security Clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cyber security with focus on security engineering.
• Strong understanding of networking, systems and application security.
• Experience with risk assessments and security controls.
• Knowledge of ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Understanding of vulnerability management.
• Experience with security tools and technologies.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Degree in Cyber Security or IT.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CEH.
• UK Security Clearance holder or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver Cyber Security work packages across client and internal programmes.
• Develop Security Management Plans, conduct risk assessments, define security controls, plan vulnerability management, and produce Security Case Reports.
• Develop Key and Certificate Management Plans, create security policies and procedures, act as SME for security requirements, and contribute to capability development.
