Job summary

Datasource Computer Employment Limited is seeking a Cloud Engineer for a fully on-site role in the United Kingdom. You will build secure, highly available cloud solutions on AWS, shaping architecture and implementing IaC and container-based deployments.

You will work within an agile delivery team, translating customer requirements into scalable designs, mentoring junior engineers, and driving automation across cloud infrastructure and security services.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS experience with compute and managed services.
• Full-stack development experience for cloud in Python/Node.js.
• Experience delivering Kubernetes/AWS EKS container-based solutions.
• IaC experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong cloud architecture for secure, scalable environments.
• Experience with cloud migration planning and execution.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
• Familiar with agile delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Build and develop secure, highly available cloud-based solutions within an agile delivery team.
• Lead the design of cloud architecture for complex, secure environments.
• Engage directly with customers to understand and translate their requirements.
• Implement core infrastructure and security services in AWS, meeting compliance objectives.
• Work with support teams to enable monitoring and management of cloud-based systems.
• Provide third-line support to deployed cloud solutions as required.
• Line manage and mentor junior engineers, supporting their professional development.
• Automate time-intensive processes to improve efficiency across the cloud ecosystem.
