Job summary

AWE plc is hiring an Asbestos Management Practitioner for the Radiochemistry Group in Berkshire. The role is full-time and fully onsite at RG7 4PR, with a 9-day fortnight and generous benefits.

You will manage asbestos information, conduct surveys, maintain records, and support compliance across facilities. The position offers a starting salary of £29,490–£35,000 per year, negotiable based on qualifications and experience, with opportunities to progress to fully trained asbestos analyst.

Qualifications

• Experience with surveys/inspections or compliance systems is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate record-keeping.
• Good written and verbal communication across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Carry out asbestos surveys by inspecting buildings, structures and equipment, taking samples and assessing asbestos materials.
• Maintain accurate asbestos records and update inspection data.
• Support compliance with CAR Reg 4 and manage risk scores.
• Maintain ACM location/type/condition register and contribute to the AMP.
• Schedule routine ACM inspections and ensure training is completed.
