Job summary

An MSP in central Edinburgh is seeking a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join its growing team. The role is predominantly onsite, with hybrid working available after six months, and a strong emphasis on customer service and problem solving.

You will troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Windows and macOS, fix networking issues and take ownership of tickets. A full UK driving licence is essential for occasional travel to client sites across central Scotland; MSP experience and certifications are desirable.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in a 2nd Line IT Support role.
• Strong Microsoft 365, Windows and Mac support experience.
• Solid networking and fault-finding skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
• MSP experience (desirable).
• Microsoft, CompTIA or similar certifications (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Providing 2nd line support across a varied client base.
• Troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Windows, macOS and networking issues.
• Resolving escalated hardware, software and connectivity problems.
• Taking ownership of tickets through to resolution.
• Maintaining accurate technical documentation.
• Delivering excellent customer service.
