Job summary

Global Search+Select is seeking an Associate Project Manager – Onshore Wind to support the development of renewable energy projects across the UK, guiding delivery from early concept through to final investment decision. The role is based in Edinburgh with hybrid working.

You will assist Project Managers, manage documentation, engage with stakeholders and landowners, and help coordinate with internal teams and consultants to ensure disciplined delivery and compliance.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 3+ years’ experience in a professional project environment, ideally within infrastructure, energy, or development.
• Understanding of core project management principles.
• Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Structured and detail-oriented approach to managing documentation and project data.
• Motivated to learn and develop within the renewable energy sector.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in delivering key development milestones for onshore wind projects.
• Maintain project documentation including schedules, risk registers, budgets, and stakeholder plans.
• Take ownership of defined workstreams such as stakeholder engagement, environmental surveys, or design coordination.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure alignment across project phases.
• Engage with landowners, public authorities, and local communities throughout the development lifecycle.
• Promote safe, structured, and compliant project delivery practices.
