Job summary

Ramboll is seeking a Senior Project Manager with business development experience to lead onshore wind projects in the UK and Ireland. Based in UK offices (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol or London), with some travel to client sites.

You will manage Owners Engineering, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and help win new work. You will oversee feasibility, development, construction and repowering stages, building strong client relationships and expanding Ramboll's UK onshore wind advisory

Qualifications

• Significant experience in project managing the technical scopes of onshore wind farms including design work, procurement, development and construction management.
• Strong understanding of the key drivers that make a project technically and commercially successful.
• Experience in business development and comfortable engaging with clients and prospective clients.
• A self-starter able to balance competing demands across projects, clients and business development.
• Ability to build long-term relationships with clients.
• Collaborative working style and a problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Project manage onshore wind scopes including Owners Engineering in the UK market (potential involvement in wider geographies).
• Lead client projects across all lifecycle stages: origination, feasibility, development, construction and repowering.
• Lead project teams of multi-discipline experts delivering civil, electrical, environmental and procurement scopes.
• Manage tender proposals coordinating inputs from experts and junior consultants to ensure commercial attractiveness.
• Support the Head of Business Development with sales activities in the UK onshore market, including generating leads and managing existing clients.
