Job summary

Saipem in the United Kingdom seeks a Construction Subcontract Engineer to manage subcontract scopes for onshore mechanical, buildings and E&I works on the ENI Liverpool Bay project. You will report to the Subcontract Manager and drive admin, variation handling and cost control on EPIC development stages.

The role is a contractor, full-time position in Talacre, outside IR35, requiring 3-5 years as a Quantity Surveyor in Oil & Gas with mandatory onshore experience. UK right-to-work is essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Oil & Gas or Energy sectors.
• Onshore experience is mandatory; candidates with both onshore and offshore experience are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the procedure of Subcontract Administration is implemented and followed by Subcontractors
• Initiate letters and notices to Subcontractors as needed and ensure replies
• Monitor Subcontractor’s performance
• Review and validate the progress payment submitted by Subcontractors
• Provide project management support in identifying variations or claims with cost/time implications
• Analyse Site Technical Queries, Site Instructions and Deviation Requests for cost impact and negotiate pricing
• Ensure execution of extra works, new unit prices, claims and close out of Subcontracts
• Participate in change management and forecast analysis
• Ensure issuance of Completion Certificates
• Configure contracts/price lists in Colav and maintain revisions
• Guide Subcontractors in WP, NP and CWO submissions
• Support subcontractors in submitting Back-Ups
• Check coherence between physical and economic progress
• Execute Forecasts Analysis
