Job summary

ASDA is seeking an Online Trading Manager to shape the online commercial strategy for George Soft Home categories, driving sales and profitability. You will oversee product onboarding and the online journey, leading a team to ensure a fast, friendly, and reliable customer experience on site, in partnership with trading, digital and strategic colleagues.

The role is a maternity cover on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, based in Asda House, Leeds, with hybrid working.

Qualifications

Experience in buying, merchandising or eCommerce is preferred but not essential.
Analytical and data-driven with ability to use data to optimise results.
Strong communication skills to work with colleagues at all levels.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and handles change well.
Decisive, agile and focused on delivering outcomes.
Customer-centric mindset aligned to Asda's purpose.

Responsibilities

Set the Online commercial strategy for George Soft Home categories to drive online sales and profit.
Lead the team to deliver an easy, fast and friendly online customer experience on site.
Collaborate with strategic, digital and trading teams to define and execute the online strategy for General Merchandise.
Oversee product onboarding and ensure accurate, customer-focused product information.
Support end-to-end online merchandising and navigation to maximise conversions and basket size.
