Job summary

Doncaster College is seeking a committed Functional Skills Maths and English Assessor to join our Adult Skills Online team in a hybrid role. You will support adult learners to achieve Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English up to Level 2, assess progress and mark work.

You will work with colleagues to maintain high standards, contribute to curriculum development and assist with admissions, attendance and examinations. Hybrid working is available with flexible home days.

Qualifications

• Relevant subject-related degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Maths and English.
• Recognised teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver online assessment and support for Functional Skills Maths and English programmes.
• Mark learner assignments and monitor learner progress towards successful completion.
• Manage administrative processes including admissions, attendance monitoring, learner records, quality assurance and examination arrangements.
• Support curriculum development and contribute to the continuous improvement of learning materials and programmes.
• Analyses attendance, retention and achievement data to support performance improvement.
• Provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to learners to help them achieve their goals.
