Job summary

Dumfries & Galloway College is seeking an experienced ESOL lecturer to deliver Level 3 ESOL online for 22 weeks, starting 4 January 2027 at 7.75 hours per week.

You will deliver and assess high-quality ESOL learning, support learners to achieve qualifications and progress, with occasional on-campus activities. You should hold CELTA or equivalent and a minimum HND or higher, plus strong IT skills. Teaching will be online and you must be adaptable to evolving digital tools and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in delivery of ESOL programmes.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Good IT skills.
• CELTA qualification or equivalent.
• Educated to HND level or above.
• A teaching qualification and FE teaching experience are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess high-quality ESOL learning and teaching, supporting learners to achieve their qualification and progress in personal development and future employment.
• Learning and teaching will take place online; occasional attendance on campus for training and meetings.
• Proficiency in MS Office and any job-specific software/systems; adaptability to evolving digital opportunities.
