Job summary

Quantum Scholars is seeking a patient SEND/SEMH Maths Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one tuition to secondary-aged learners in Taunton. The role is in-person and requires strong maths knowledge and experience supporting learners with SEND/SEMH needs.

You will adapt teaching styles to fit individual learning needs, help students build confidence in maths, and support GCSE revision and exam technique where appropriate. Safeguarding and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong maths subject knowledge at secondary level.
• Experience teaching or tutoring maths.
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised one-to-one maths tuition to secondary-aged learners.
• Support learners with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
• Teach maths across the secondary curriculum, including GCSE where appropriate.
• Identify gaps and provide targeted support; monitor progress and feedback.
• Build positive relationships with learners, parents, and other professionals.
• Maintain safeguarding and promote welfare of the learner.
