Job summary

Quantum Scholars is seeking a patient, supportive SEND/SEMH Maths Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one Maths tuition for secondary students in Taunton. The role is in-person and requires strong Maths knowledge and experience supporting learners with SEND/SEMH needs.

You will adapt teaching styles to meet individual needs, build confidence in Maths, and collaborate with parents, carers and other professionals while upholding safeguarding and professional boundaries.

Qualifications

Strong Maths subject knowledge at secondary level.
Experience teaching or tutoring Maths.
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs.

Responsibilities

Provide personalised one-to-one Maths tuition to secondary-aged learners.
Support learners with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
Adapt lessons, resources and teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
Support GCSE revision, exam technique and preparation where appropriate.
Create a calm, structured and positive learning environment.
Monitor progress and provide appropriate feedback.
Collaborate with parents/carers and other professionals involved in the learner's education.
Maintain safeguarding and professional boundaries.
