Job summary

Langley Park Primary School in London is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work 32.5 hours per week across 39 weeks per year on a permanent basis. You will support a pupil with complex needs on a one-to-one basis, helping them access the curriculum and develop social and emotional wellbeing.

Under the guidance of teaching staff you will implement individual programmes, prepare resources, and provide care tasks such as eating, dressing, toileting and hygiene.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a child with complex needs.
• Ability to work in a team and use initiative.
• Knowledge of KS1/KS2 curriculum.
• Ability to manage time and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist a pupil with complex needs on a one-to-one basis.
• Support social and emotional welfare and behaviour.
• Provide practical support with day-to-day tasks (eating, dressing, toileting, hygiene).
• Work under guidance of teaching staff and implement work programmes.
• Assist in planning, resource preparation and short class cover as needed.
