Job summary

Quantum Scholars are recruiting EOTAS Tutors to provide personalised one-to-one educational support across Somerset. The role focuses on Maths, Science and/or English, helping learners rebuild confidence and re-engage with education.

Experience with SEND, SEMH, school avoidance or related barriers is highly desirable. The position is in-person, with safeguarding and DBS checks required, and salary determined by qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge in Maths, Science or English.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND and/or SEMH is highly desirable.
• Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised one-to-one tuition to young people accessing EOTAS provision.
• Support Maths, Science and/or English, depending on subject knowledge and experience.
• Plan engaging, accessible and appropriately challenging lessons for primary and secondary learners including GCSE preparation where appropriate.
• Adapt teaching methods, resources and pace to suit individual learning needs.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to parents/carers and other professionals.
