Job summary

Quantum Scholars are seeking a supportive EOTAS Tutor to provide one-to-one maths and science tuition in Wokingham for learners on Education Otherwise Than At School (EOTAS). The role emphasises tailoring lessons to individual needs and building confidence.

The tutor will support Maths and/or Science up to GCSE level where appropriate, with a focus on progress, independence and re-engagement with education. Experience with SEND/SEMH is desirable; in-person only.

Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge in Maths and/or Science.
• Ability to support learning up to GCSE level in relevant subject area.
• Experience working with children or young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs.
• Experience delivering one-to-one tuition or personalised educational support.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to individual academic, emotional and behavioural needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised one-to-one tuition to learners accessing EOTAS provision.
• Support Maths and/or Science up to GCSE level where appropriate.
• Plan and deliver engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual needs.
• Identify gaps in learning and provide targeted academic support.
• Monitor progress and adapt tuition accordingly; provide feedback to carers and professionals.
