Job summary

Outwood Grange Academies Trust invites applications for a One to One Tutor at Outwood Academy Freeston. The role involves supporting students with diverse needs in small groups or one-to-one sessions across the English curriculum, in a thermometer of interventions to raise attainment.

The successful candidate will plan, deliver and differentiate a broad curriculum, promoting an inclusive ethos and working under the Head of Department across the family of schools.

Responsibilities

• Support students with varying needs in small groups (2-4) or in a 1-2-1 setting across the English curriculum.
• Plan and deliver a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum for individual students.
• Deliver intervention programmes to encourage academic growth and raise attainment.
• Promote the inclusive ethos of the Academy and work with the Head of Department to support learners.

Start Date: ASAP

Salary (Actual Salary): Salary (Actual Salary): QTS £37.03 per hour
Relevant Degree £26.68 per hour
Unqualified £18.72 per hour

Working Pattern: 5 Hours Per Week, Term Time only

The successful applicant will be required to work across the English curriculum to support students with varying needs in small groups (2-4) or in a 1-2-1 setting

The department aims to continue its success at GCSE’s whilst striving to exceed its targets at all key stages. We are committed to delivering the best possible outcomes for our students and you will be supported by the Head of Department both at the academy and across the Family of Schools.

Applicants should have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and have excellent IT skills.

The successful candidate needs to be extremely well organised, have the ability to prioritise work to ensure that strict deadlines are met. The ability to work on one’s own initiative, as well as part of a team is essential.
