Job summary

EK Outreach Services Ltd is seeking a dedicated Computing Teacher to deliver one-to-one lessons to students with diverse needs, including SEND. Lessons may take place in students' homes, libraries, or other agreed locations, to help learners engage with Computing Studies through tailored and accessible sessions.

The role requires QTS or significant teaching experience in Computing, experience with GCSE/A-Level, and a strong knowledge of programming, networks and digital technology.

Qualifications

  • QTS or significant experience teaching Computing or related subjects.
  • Experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level Computing.
  • Experience working with SEND students is highly desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of computing subjects such as programming, networking, and digital technology.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver individualised Computing lessons aligned with each student's academic level and learning objectives.
  • Teach a range of topics including digital literacy, programming, and computing theory at GCSE, A-Level, or equivalent levels.
  • Promote scientific understanding, engagement, and motivation in students.
  • Remain patient and flexible by adapting lesson content and teaching methods to support students with SEND and other learning challenges.
  • Track and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with pastoral teams to ensure holistic support for each student.
  • Maintain thorough records of lessons and progress in line with educational requirements.
