Job Description

We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. You will work in a fast-paced retail environment where no day is the same.

You will play an important role in the store's daily operations by providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance.

As the customer is at the heart of everything we do, you will seek to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback.

You will help ensure the store remains a safe place to work and shop.

You will be Responsible For

  • Serving customers with passion and pride, providing natural service.
  • Encouraging customer feedback through surveys.
  • Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
  • Practicing safety in all tasks based on training.
  • Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
  • Understanding store performance and your role in delivering profit.
  • Living company values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
  • Clocking in and out accurately for proper payment.
  • Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
  • Following the think 25 policy when serving age-restricted products.
  • Responding promptly to assistance calls or interventions at self-service checkouts.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized store environment.
  • Possibly managing shifts in the absence of managers.
  • Following all safety and legal training.

If the store has a Post Office Local, duties include Post Office operations, requiring passing a background check. Failure to pass will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
