Spire Leicester Hospital is seeking an experienced SACT Nurse to join our Cancer Services team. You will deliver safe chemotherapy and supportive care within a specialist multidisciplinary environment, guiding patients from diagnosis through treatment.

The role requires current NMC registration, an accredited SACT qualification (or UKONS SACT Passport), and a proven oncology background with venepuncture, cannulation and CVAD management.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Accredited SACT qualification and/or UKONS SACT Passport.
• Experience administering chemotherapy and intravenous therapies.
• Competence in venepuncture, cannulation and CVAD management.
• Oncology experience with the ability to manage a complex patient caseload.
• Strong clinical judgement, communication and organisational skills.

Responsabilités

• Deliver safe, evidence-based systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) and supportive care.
• Provide specialist advice and support to patients and their families from diagnosis through treatment.
• Manage a caseload of oncology patients, acting as a key worker throughout their pathway.
• Undertake patient assessments, care planning, and evaluation of treatment outcomes.
• Work closely with Consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
• Participate in oncology telephone triage services and quality improvement initiatives.
