Job summary

Warman O'Brien seeks an Oncology Medical Strategy Lead to join the Hematology-Oncology Centre of Excellence, shaping development strategies across multiple oncology programmes and indications.

You’ll collaborate with clinical, regulatory, operational and commercial teams, guiding protocol design and development planning while contributing to industry thought leadership and sponsor engagements.

Qualifications

• MD and board certification in Oncology
• 5–7 years of relevant experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience within or supporting the biopharmaceutical industry
• Experience in clinical development, clinical research or translational medicine
• Strong understanding of protocol design, development planning and clinical trial execution
• Ability to communicate confidently with sponsors, KOLs and senior internal stakeholders
• Strong business acumen and interest in cross-functional environments

Responsibilities

• Shape oncology clinical development strategies with sponsors
• Advise on protocol design, feasibility, standards of care and development planning
• Provide insight into mechanisms and compound-specific considerations
• Support scientific discussions during early client engagement and bid-defence meetings
• Work with commercial and operational teams to win and deliver complex oncology programmes
• Act as a scientific advisor throughout the research and development lifecycle
• Contribute to presentations, thought leadership and industry engagement
• Monitor the evolving oncology landscape and help shape future strategy
