Warman O'Brien seeks a Rheumatology Medical Strategy Lead to influence multiple development programmes rather than a single pipeline. You will act as a trusted scientific advisor to sponsors, shaping clinical development strategies across indications and modalities.

This fully remote role involves collaboration with clinical, regulatory, operational and commercial teams to support business growth and provide expert guidance across the lifecycle of client programmes.

Qualifications

• Medical degree and specialist qualification in rheumatology.
• Five or more years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of three years’ experience within or supporting the biopharmaceutical industry.
• Experience in clinical development, clinical research or translational medicine.
• Strong understanding of protocol design, development planning and trial execution.
• Ability to communicate confidently with sponsors, KOLs and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Shape clinical development strategies for rheumatology across indications.
• Advise on protocol design, feasibility and development planning.
• Provide insights on mechanisms of action and compound-specific considerations.
• Participate in early client engagements, proposals and bid defenses.
• Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to deliver programmes.
• Serve as a scientific advisor throughout the lifecycle of research and development.
• Contribute to presentations, thought leadership and industry engagement.
• Monitor rheumatology landscape to inform future strategy.
