Job summary
East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support and manage the Electronic Prescribing (EP) system for SACT. You will train staff, resolve system issues and assist in the dispensary and chemotherapy desk.
The role requires GPhC registration and an NVQ3/BTEC in pharmaceutical sciences, with experience in Wellsky or EP systems being highly desirable. A dedicated cancer pharmacy team will support you in providing patient care.
Qualifications
- NVQ3 or BTEC Cert in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.
- Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council as a pharmacy technician.
- Experience with Wellsky dispensing systems or electronic prescribing is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Support development, configuration, testing and ongoing management of the Electronic Prescribing (EP) System for Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).
- Provide helpdesk support and training for pharmacy, nursing and prescribing staff.
- Participate in the dispensary, manage stock control, operate the chemotherapy desk and counsel patients on medications.
