Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is recruiting a Band 5 Electronic Prescribing Support Pharmacy Technician at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre Pharmacy to help develop, configure and manage the EP system for systemic anti-cancer therapy, while supporting staff training and patient care.

You will join a dedicated cancer pharmacy team, manage stock, support the chemotherapy desk, and counsel patients on their medications, with focus on delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 or BTEC Cert in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent.
• Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council as a pharmacy technician.
• Experience in Pharmacy services essential; oncology/e-prescribing experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support development, configuration, testing and ongoing management of the EP System for SACT.
• Provide helpdesk support and train pharmacy, nursing and prescribing staff.
• Participate in the dispensary and manage stock control; operate chemotherapy desk.
• Counsel patients on their medications and ensure safe, effective use.
