Job summary

Stena Line is recruiting Engine Ratings with passenger vessel experience for the Cairnryan–Belfast route. You will work in a small engine team, conducting planned maintenance, repairs and operational duties on hotel systems.

The role requires STCW and ENG1 certifications, with opportunities for progression within a safety-focused organisation. The position offers full-time permanent work on a 24-hour vessel schedule, with generous travel concessions and pension arrangements.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and able to communicate clearly at sea.
• STCW training and ENG1 certificates are required.
• Engine-related CoCs (III/4 or III/5) are necessary for the role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair hotel systems and vessel parts under engine supervision.
• Perform planned maintenance and operational duties as part of the hotel/engine team.
• Overhaul galley equipment, piping, and related machinery (gas, electric, TIG, MIG welding).
• Keep maintenance records and ensure environmental policies are followed.
