Job summary

Hull Trains is hiring an Onboard Host in Hull on a permanent basis for 35 hours per week. The role focuses on delivering excellent onboard service and driving sales while maintaining stock and safety standards.

The position involves rostering and potential overnight lodgings in London, with benefits including rail travel, a company pension, 25 days leave plus bank holidays, health cashback, shopping discounts and gym membership.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a sales setting.
• Cash handling and card payment experience.
• Strong communication with customers and colleagues.
• Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene (desirable).
• Stock handling and stock control experience (desirable).
• NVQ Level 2 Customer Services or equivalent (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Comply with Hull Trains Food Safety Policy.
• Maintain a hygienic work area under HACCP guidelines.
• Maximise catering revenue through proactive selling on board.
• Provide on-board hospitality and customer service in First Class & Standard.
• Meet and exceed sales targets.
• Record stock and service paperwork accurately.
• Assist other Hull Trains departments during disruptions.
• Conduct full meet & greet duties at stations and ensure timely delivery of marketing materials.
