Job summary

SSP is hiring an On-Board Host for TransPennine Express at York Station. The role offers £13.65 per hour plus commission, full-time 39 hours, with rotating shifts between 6am and 8pm, including some weekends.

Applicants must be 18+ to perform certain shifts. Full training will be provided, and you will deliver at-seat trolley service, assist passengers, and work towards sales targets while maintaining stock accuracy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ideally 2 years in a customer-facing role within retail, leisure or hospitality.
• Full training will be provided.
• Must be 18 years of age or over to perform certain shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide 'at seat trolley service' on TPE trains and manage stock and transactions.
• Travel on assigned trains, assist passengers, achieve sales targets, and meet contractual goals.
• Accurately account for stock and transactions and adhere to hygiene and safety standards.

Pay Rate: £13.65 per hour plus commission
Hours: Full Time (39 hours).
Shifts: Rotational shifts between 6am and 8pm, including some weekends.

• Due to some responsibilities within the Onboard Host role, applicants will need to be18 years of age or overto perform certain tasks or work on certain shifts.
  


• Adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, including long hours and varying shifts.

Ideally you will have at least 2 years working experience gained in a Customer Facing role within the Retail Leisure & Hospitality Industry.
Full Training will be provided.

AS AN ON BOARD HOST YOU’LL:

• Provide 'at seat trolley service' on TPE trains, ensuring outstanding customer service, managing stock, and handling transactions.


• Travel on assigned trains, assisting passengers, achieving sales targets independently, and meeting contractual goals.


• Accurately account for stock and transactions, adhere to hygiene and safety standards, and support management initiatives.
