Job summary

First Military Recruitment are seeking a practical, solutions-focused engineer to join a specialist technical services team. The role supports installation, servicing, and maintenance of commercial laundry and warewash dosing equipment on cruise ships worldwide.

You will spend around 75% of time onboard ships, with deployments typically lasting 2–4 weeks and time off in lieu. You will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing equipment, performing fault finding, and providing

Qualifications

Proven hands-on field-based engineering experience.
Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and repair skills.
Customer-focused approach with good communication.
Willingness to travel extensively and work away from home for extended periods.
Experience with 3-phase electrical systems is required or advantageous.

Responsibilities

Install, service, maintain and repair chemical dosing equipment on cruise ships.
Conduct fault finding, diagnostics and safety checks on installed systems.
Work with electrical and plumbing systems in a marine environment.
Support onboard installation projects with project managers and engineers.
Prepare equipment, consumables and materials for field deployments.
Complete service reports and technical documentation promptly.
Provide technical support and basic training to customers and end users.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through professional service delivery.
