Job summary

Waitrose, part of the John Lewis Partnership, is looking for Customer Delivery Drivers to bring quality goods and partner-led service to customers' doors in St Neots. The role is part-time, involves driving, stock replenishment, and shop duties with a focus on safety and excellent customer service.

Night premiums apply for hours between 22:00 and 06:00 (£3.75 per hour). You’ll work Fridays and Saturdays, 15 hours per week, with a permanent contract and a base rate of £14.31 per hour.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older.
• Have a full, valid UK manual car driving license (B-Category) with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Bring awesome people skills and a friendly approach to customer service.
• Be ready for some physical work, lifting crates, walking up stairs, moving large cages (≈18kg).

Responsibilities

• Be a friendly face for the Waitrose brand while youre on the road—great customer service is your number one goal.
• Chat with customers about changes to their order and, if they are not happy, quickly sort out a refund.
• Handle all products and deliveries with care, treating them like your own.
• Make it clear to customers that they wont be charged extra for substituted items.
• Help customers with their groceries and build a trusting relationship.
• Familiarise yourself with your delivery route for the day.
• Give your van a full safety check to ensure road safety and compliance.
• Support the wider team with warehouse tasks when off the road.
