Job summary

Property Management Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Community Manager for a residential building in Ashford, Kent. You will be the face of the site, own day-to-day operations, and work alongside an on-site facilities manager and external lettings partner.

This is a Monday–Friday role with daytime hours, offering autonomy and the backing of a major rental housing operator. You will drive occupancy, maintain service standards, and manage resident relations on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a residential property, build-to-rent, student accommodation or hospitality operation.
• Ability to work independently as the lead on site.
• Commercial awareness including budgets, occupancy and revenue.
• Strong focus on customer or resident service.
• Knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation.
• IOSH or NEBOSH training.
• Experience with property management software.

Responsibilities

• Build a welcoming community and handle resident queries, requests and complaints.
• Manage the site budget, forecasting and P&L, and report performance to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with leasing partner and marketing team to hit occupancy and revenue targets.
• Oversee tenancy management, including inspections, arrears and charges.
• Partner with facilities manager on planned and reactive maintenance.
• Keep the building safe, compliant and well presented through regular walkarounds.
