Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join KierBAM in Plymouth, operating on a live MOD site at Devonport Royal Dockyard. The role is 3+ days on site weekly, with a 45-hour week and on-site responsibilities in commercial management.

Key duties include forecasting, cost reporting, subcontractor management, and risk control. Candidates should hold a Quantity Surveying qualification and have NEC/Coins/Causeway experience, plus a driving licence and CSCS White.

Qualifications

• Qualified or graduate in Quantity Surveying (HNC, BSc, MSc).
• Strong NEC Contracts experience and familiarity with Coins/Causeway.
• Full driving licence and CSCS - White PQP/AQP.
• Excellent IT skills including MS Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial input including forecasts to management.
• Prepare and review monthly cost reports and budgets.
• Physically measure works and certify/pay with client and subcontractors.
• Manage subcontractors: enquiries, negotiation, orders and accounts.
• Assess, review and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
