Job summary

KierBAM is seeking a Site Engineer (Geotechnical) to join our Plymouth-based team at Devonport Royal Dockyard. You will manage technical compliance to design specs, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time and to high quality standards on a live MOD site.

The role requires Level 3+ qualification, experience with GPS/Total Station for setting out and survey work, and geotechnical experience (drilling, grouting, anchors). You will write RAMS and hold CSCS White AQP; BPSS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Academic qualification at Level 3 or above (HNC, HND, or Degree).
• Experience with survey equipment (GPS, Total Station) for setting out and survey work.
• Experience in geotechnical applications such as drilling, grouting, anchor installation, inspection and testing.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of as-built drawings and maintaining effective systems to record completed work.
• Participating in quality checks and surveys, and assisting with site safety, environmental, and quality inspections.
• Recording and testing of workmanship and materials including drilling, grouting, and anchoring operations.
• Setting out works to be constructed within allowable tolerances from a provided site control.
• Providing engineering support to overcome technical challenges and ensuring the workforce understands setting out information.
