Job summary

Eastlight Community Homes is seeking an experienced Clerk of Works to support delivery of residential investment and improvement programmes. You will oversee quality and progress on site, ensuring projects meet contract specifications, health and safety requirements, and relevant legislation.

The role involves site inspections, monitoring workmanship, producing site reports, managing snagging and defects, and supporting Programme Managers as needed. A valid UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Clerk of Works, site inspection, or construction quality role in residential housing.
• Strong knowledge of domestic construction, structural defects, Building Regulations, HHSRS and the Decent Homes Standard.
• A construction-related qualification; health and safety qualification (e.g., SMSTS) would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality and progress of works on site in line with contracts and specs.
• Monitor workmanship, produce site reports, manage snagging and defects for continuous improvement.
• Undertake contractor health and safety inspections, attend contract meetings, support Programme Managers.
