Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is seeking a Clerk of Works to support the delivery of housing investment projects. You will ensure compliance with specifications, workmanship, materials and technical standards across buildings and maintenance works.

The role requires a recognised building construction qualification (City and Guilds or equivalent), plus experience in site works and health & safety regulation compliance. A full driving licence and willingness to attend evening meetings are essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in building construction with City and Guilds (or equivalent) in a relevant trade.
• Experience in building and property maintenance and as Clerk of Works on larger scale projects.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Regulations and related building/construction safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of projects within the housing investment programme.
• Ensure compliance with specification, workmanship, materials and technical standards.
• Attend meetings and collaborate with council teams to coordinate works.
