Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Birmingham is seeking an Assistant Surveyor to join the on-site Property Delivery team. You will assist with service charge budgets, rent coordination, and tenant liaison while supporting multiple properties and collaborating with accounts, data, and FM teams.

The role involves preparing budgets, handling tenant queries, participating in client meetings, and advising on lease obligations.

Qualifications

• Experience or education in real estate/property management is preferred.
• Knowledge of lease terms is advantageous.
• First career move, or early in-career role in property management.

Responsibilities

• Assist to prepare service charge budgets and reconciliations with FMs and lead surveyor.
• Respond to tenant queries on service charge, rent, insurance, etc.
• Support occupier engagement and organise tenant meetings.
• Advise on repairing obligations in leases and promote a partnering approach.
• Assist with licences/wayleaves and drive additional fees where appropriate.
• Provide surveying input into client reporting and attend client meetings.
• Coordinate with other PM teams for surveying activities and respect client KPIs.
• Support property and site presentation inspections and check invoices.
• Review and approve demands to tenants and ad hoc recharges.
