Job summary

Amey is seeking an on-site Cleaner/Housekeeper for HMP Birmingham. The role is 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a salary around £27,426 per year. You will deliver cleaning services to contractual standards, manage stock, and operate equipment safely, while upholding health and safety and supporting carbon-reduction initiatives.

We welcome diverse candidates. Prison security clearance will be required, and Amey will support the process.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning service that meets contractual requirements.
• Control stock levels and order consumables.
• Operate machinery safely per guidelines and training provided.
• Ensure high-quality service for building users.
• Support local and business zero-carbon programmes where appropriate.
• Maintain H&S standards across the contract.
