Job summary

Amey is recruiting for an On-Site Plumber at HMP Stafford. The role is permanent, 39 hours per week on a rota 08:00–16:30, with 1 in 3 weekends and a 15% allowance. Base salary £30,866–£36,135 depending on experience.

You will contribute to critical prison facilities management across the MoJ contract. NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating with experience in maintenance is required, plus a UK driving licence.

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Plumber in HMP Stafford.

The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. Staff are required to work on a rota basis between 08.00 – 16.30. There will be a need to work 1 in 3 weekends, but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary).

The base salary is between £30,866 - £36,135 dependant on experience.

What You Will Do
  • Routine and non-routine maintenance.
  • Mains water supply repairs.
  • Fault finding Identification of life expired equipment, checking, repairing and making good faults.
  • Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the role.
What You Will Bring
  • NVQ level 2 in Plumbing and Heating with experience in plumbing maintenance
  • Experience in operating light plant
  • Legionella awareness and compliance is desirable
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience in a commercial environment
