Job summary

Amey is recruiting a Plumber (Permanent) for HMP Lowdham Grange to maintain water systems and carry out routine and non-routine plumbing tasks on a 39‑hour week (rota 08:00–16:30, Monday–Friday). The base salary ranges from £30,866 to £36,135 depending on experience.

The role requires an NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating, experience in plumbing maintenance, a full UK driving licence, and Legionella awareness is desirable. Security clearance and standard DBS support will be provided by Amey.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating with experience in plumbing maintenance.
• Experience operating light plant.
• Legionella awareness and compliance desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience in a commercial environment.

Responsibilities

• Routine and non-routine maintenance.

Location: HMP Lowdham Grange, Old Epperstone Rd, Lowdham NG14 7DA.

Hours: 39 hours per week, rota basis 08:00 – 16:30 Monday‑Friday (15:30 Friday).

Base salary: £30,866 – £36,135, dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

• Mains water supply repairs.
• Fault finding – identification of life‑expired equipment, checking, repairing and making good faults.
• Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.
• Any other duties commensurate with the role.
