Job summary

Plantexpand-Ltd is recruiting a field engineer to service and repair pumps, generators and plant around Birmingham. You’ll work from a van, perform routine inspections and respond to breakdowns on customer sites.

The role requires hands-on experience, a full UK driving licence and the ability to log jobs digitally. A company van, fuel card and pension are provided with a discretionary bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience on pumps, generators, excavators or small plant.
• Own hand tools provided by you.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Happy working on your own, on customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintain plant on customer sites around Birmingham.
• Find the fault and fix it first time.
• Carry out PUWER inspections and safety checks.
• Log every job on a tablet with photos, hours and parts used.
• Close the job and liaise with service controllers.
