Job summary

Plantexpand Ltd. is seeking an on-site engineer to service, repair and maintain pumps, generators and site plant around Durham. You will find faults and fix them first time, carrying out required inspections and safety checks on customer sites as part of a busy daily workflow.

You will use a company van, join an experienced team, and log all work on a tablet while coordinating with service controllers. A UK driving licence and hands-on plant experience are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience on pumps, generators, excavators or small plant.
• Own hand tools (we supply specialist tools and diagnostics).
• A full UK driving licence.
• Happy working on your own, out on site.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair and maintain plant on customer sites in and around Durham.
• Find the fault and fix it first time.
• Carry out PUWER inspections, pre-delivery inspections, safety checks and trailer defect checks, and report LOLER defects.
• Carry out LOLER thorough examinations on forklifts, telehandlers and excavators used for lifting, once qualified, on equipment maintained by another engineer.
• Log every job on a tablet (photos, hours and parts used), close the job, raise follow-on repairs and talk directly to our service controllers.
