Job summary

Health Partners is seeking an Occupational Health Technician to join our on-site team at Hinkley Point C in Somerset. The role involves conducting health screening and surveillance and supporting clinical staff on site.

This full-time position is 37.5 hours with day, back, and night shifts; salary is £26,780 with a competitive benefits package. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to workplace health and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Background in healthcare roles such as Health Care Assistant, Fitness Instructor, EMT, Military Medic, or Offshore Medic.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) and good IT literacy.
• Self-motivated with proactive approach, able to work independently and in a team; maintain patient confidentiality.
• Capable of working under supervision and recognizing limits of practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health screening and surveillance procedures including baseline measurements, audiometry, lung function, vision screening and drug/alcohol testing.
• Ensure accurate, confidential recording of medical information and maintain occupational health records.
• Assist with PTS medicals and perform non-clinical tasks such as filing and tidying; support health promotion programmes.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment and ensure proper storage; refer queries beyond competency to clinical staff.
• Commitment to best practices and ongoing professional development; contribute to health and safety in the workplace.
