Health Partners are seeking an Occupational Health Technician to join our on-site team at Hinkley Point C, Somerset. This full-time role involves health screening, data recording, and supporting clinical staff in a proactive workplace health program.

The successful candidate will have background in health-related roles, strong communication, IT literacy, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Shift patterns include day, back, and night rotations.

Qualifications

• Background suitable for this role such as Health Care Assistant, Fitness Instructor, Ambulance EMT, Military Medic, or Offshore Medic.
• Knowledge and experience in occupational health is essential.
• Approachable with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and IT literacy.
• Self-motivated with proactive approach and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Capable of working under supervision while recognizing limits of your practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health screening and surveillance including baseline measurements.
• Perform audiometry, lung function, vision, urinalysis, and drug/alcohol testing.
• Record medical information accurately and maintain occupational health records.
• Assist with PTS medicals and non-clinical tasks like filing.
• Maintain equipment, calibrate and store properly.
• Refer queries beyond competency to clinical staff as appropriate.
• Support health promotion and education programmes.
