Job summary

Vulcain Engineering seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead an on-site Production Control team supporting HPC MEH installations. You will oversee data-informed reporting, resource planning, and stakeholder liaison to ensure high-quality project delivery.

You will manage a team, drive improvements, and work with senior stakeholders in a technology-driven project environment near Bridgwater, with weekends possible for seven-day coverage.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Project Management or Project Controls on complex construction projects.
• Experience within Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC (MEH) environments would be highly desirable.
• Strong planning and controls: scheduling, resource management, critical path and performance monitoring.
• Experience using project management, data analysis and digital construction tools (Excel, Power BI, Navisworks, Synchro).
• Proven experience leading, managing and developing teams and mentoring.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication with clients, contractors and senior stakeholders.
• Desirable PM qualification (APM Practitioner) or equivalent; equivalent industry experience considered.
• Resident near Hinkley Point C or Bridgwater or willing to relocate; site-based role with no travel expense coverage.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the Production Control team with mentoring and performance management.
• Monitor team and project performance against targets, identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
• Coordinate resource schedules across shifts for seven-day coverage and on-time delivery.
• Produce and oversee standardised project reports, dashboards and senior-management information.
• Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and delivery teams and act as a key contact.
• Analyse project data using Excel, Power BI and project databases for insights.
• Utilise Navisworks or Synchro for 3D/4D analysis to support planning and delivery.
• Develop and improve processes and control systems to boost efficiency and data quality.
