Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Network Engineer for a full-time, on-site role in Stevenage. The candidate will support the DEx Network service, contribute to cryptography governance, and work with the Security team to enhance risk analysis.

We value a strong IT background, Cisco Center/ISE knowledge, OSI familiarity, and hands-on experience with Windows/Linux servers, VMware, and monitoring tools.

Qualifications

• Career background in information technology.
• Crypto experience and knowledge of best practice.
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center and ISE.
• Knowledge of the OSI model.
• Proficiency in core networking protocols and security.
• Experience with Windows/Linux servers and virtualization.
• Structured approach to documentation.
• Exposure to SDA principles and deployments.
• Authentication services knowledge.
• Network cabling fundamentals.
• Monitoring tools such as Nagios/PRTG/SolarWinds.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated on-site support at Stevenage (and other sites in scope).
• Own remediation of identified issues and risks from reports.
• Support UK initiatives as part of the DEx Networks team.
• Build relationships with partners and external suppliers to optimise service levels.
• Engage with Security to develop reporting and risk analysis.
• Collaborate with Service Manager to meet network service criteria.
• Collaborate with Crypto Network Specialist regarding crypto management.
