Job summary

Carr’s Billington Agriculture is seeking a reliable Site Operator to help keep Lancaster Mill running safely and efficiently. You will work across the mill, weighbridge, warehouse and production areas, operating trained plant and machinery while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

The role requires a practical, team-oriented approach, basic IT skills, and a commitment to health, safety and environmental policies.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy manufacturing and/or agricultural environment.
• Basic IT literacy and ability to learn new systems.
• Proactive and flexible approach to work.
• Can-do attitude with ability to work independently and in a team.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• Strong communication with key internal stakeholders.
• Experience of working in an animal feed mill.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant and machinery after training and authorisation.
• Maintain safety, compliance, cleanliness and housekeeping across the site.
• Follow operating instructions to ensure efficiency and product quality.
• Assist with mill, warehouse and yard duties as needed to meet UFAS accreditation standards.
• Report safety checks and any issues promptly.
