Job summary

Carr’s Billington Agriculture in Lancaster seeks a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the on-site team at our Lancaster Mill. You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, handle planned and reactive work, and collaborate with operations to keep the plant running safely and efficiently.

Ideal candidates have bulk handling maintenance experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and knowledge of health and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Engineering experience within a bulk handling production environment.
• Working knowledge of standard health & safety practices (hot works, WAH, LOTO).
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong problem solving through logical thinking.
• Experience of maintenance software and other IT.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a mix of electrical and mechanical maintenance activities as part of the engineering team.
• Perform planned maintenance, reactive repairs and fault finding to minimise downtime.
• Work safely and in compliance with UFAS and other assurance schemes.
