Job summary

Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our on-site Estates team. The role involves carrying out, leading and supervising safe installation, operation, maintenance and repair of heating, hot and cold water, ventilation, air conditioning, lifts and other building services.

You will work under pressure in emergencies and will have formal NVQ 4 (or equivalent) with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• NVQ 4 or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in safe installation, operation, maintenance and repair of mechanical building services.
• Ability to work under pressure in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out, lead and supervise the safe installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of the Trust's mechanical building services.
• Inspect and diagnose faults and carry out repairs and modifications.
• Provide coaching, training or development of others.
