Job summary

METLEN Energy & Metals in Torness, Scotland is seeking a Mechanical Site Supervisor to join the Grid & Digital Solutions Department for the EGL1 Project. You will oversee day‑to‑day mechanical construction on site, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality execution of works.

The role requires a Technical Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in mechanical construction within power, energy or transmission sectors, and strong leadership and English

Qualifications

• Technical Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction projects, supervising installation works and site teams.
• Familiarity with UK construction and HSE regulations is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent command of English and strong leadership/communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating day-to-day mechanical construction activities on site.
• Leading mechanical subcontractors and site teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of works.
• Monitoring installation of mechanical equipment, piping systems, steel structures, and plant infrastructure.
• Ensuring works align with project specs, drawings, procedures, and standards.
• Preparing daily/weekly progress reports and maintaining site records.
• Promoting high health, safety, and environmental standards on site.
